Custom Software Development
I build custom web applications, internal tools, APIs, and business software for companies that need something beyond off-the-shelf solutions.
I design and build software systems that are scalable, maintainable, and built for what's next.

Hi, I'm Alberto. I'm a software engineer who likes building things and figuring out how they work.
I enjoy working across the stack. From designing and building web applications to setting up the infrastructure that runs them. I care about writing software that is simple to understand, reliable in production, and built to last. For me, good engineering isn't just about making something work; it's about understanding the problem, making sensible trade-offs, and leaving things a little better than I found them.
Most of my work sits somewhere between software development and infrastructure. I build applications with modern frontend and backend technologies, design APIs and databases, automate deployments, and spend a probably unreasonable amount of time thinking about servers, networks, monitoring, and what happens when something inevitably breaks.
A big part of how I learn comes from building things for myself. I've been running Albgott, my own private cloud, since 2023 — gradually turning a few services on a couple of machines into a small platform with isolated networks, monitoring, automation, and far too many lessons learned the hard way.
Over the years, I've worked on everything from web applications and internal tools to production infrastructure and systems where reliability actually matters. I enjoy moving between the details of implementation and the bigger picture of how a system should work as a whole.
I build custom web applications, internal tools, APIs, and business software for companies that need something beyond off-the-shelf solutions.
I design and develop fast, responsive websites for businesses, portfolios, and personal brands — from simple sites to content-driven web experiences.
I connect your existing tools and automate repetitive tasks, from data synchronisation and notifications to multi-step business workflows.
I design and build private infrastructure for running your applications and services, covering servers, virtualization, networking, storage, and self-hosted software.
I automate how your software is built, tested, deployed, and monitored, replacing manual deployments with reliable CI/CD pipelines and repeatable workflows.
I manage and improve existing infrastructure through monitoring, maintenance, hardening, backups, and disaster recovery, helping prevent problems before they affect your services.
Infrastructure
A private lab where I experiment with real infrastructure and operate it with a production mindset.
Web Application
HACCP management app for a food distributor — digitizing controls, records, incidents, and batch traceability.
SEP 2024 – PRESENT
Design and develop custom software solutions for businesses, taking projects from requirements to deployment. Work closely with clients to turn their needs into practical applications that automate and improve day-to-day processes. Responsible for the full development lifecycle, from architecture and implementation to deployment and maintenance. Recent work includes a business platform for product tracking, batch management, and reporting.
NOV 2022 – SEP 2023
Developed and maintained REST APIs and backend services using Java and Spring. Worked on automated testing, API documentation, monitoring, and production support. Used JUnit, Cucumber, OpenAPI, Datadog, Postman, and Jira as part of the development workflow.
2023 – PRESENT
Designed and maintain a private cloud platform focused on automation, security, and observability. Manage infrastructure, networking, application deployment, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines for multiple services.
Have a project in mind, or just want to talk about software? Drop me a line — I'd love to hear from you.
